Uncle Joe Benson with Steve Miller, 5/17/03.
Saturday September 13, 2003: J.B. hosted a special concert to benefit the Fender Museum in Corona. The event featured the most legendary Steve Miller Band line-up: Steve with drummer Gary Mallaber, bassist Gerald Johnson and keyboardist Joseph Hootten, with special guest Kenny Lee Lewis on guitar rocking 2,000 lucky fans. Guitars were auctioned, there was a surprise marriage proposal and an appearance by movie/comedy star David Spade, and all the proceeds from fundraising event benefited the Fender Museum's Kids Rock Free® Program, which has provided over 5,000 children with free and low cost performing arts education. What a time!
