November 8-9, 2003: Uncle Joe's Racing ran at the season ending NHRA Auto Club Finals Drag Races in Pomona. J.B.'s longtime partner Randy Balough raced a mysterious black Vega while his new Uncle Joe's Racing 1963 Corvette was being completed, and the Jim Sleeper-prepared Uncle Joe's Racing Nissan 300ZX was displayed in full color at the Arrow 93 booth for Unc's Meet & Greets. Meanwhile, on the quarter-mile mile strip, Doug Kalitta set a national record with a 333.25 mph run, and Joe's old buddy Tony Pedregon equaled the quickest Funny Car run in history with a 4.721 second 326.79 mph pass! And racing in her final NHRA national event, legend Shirley Muldowney made it to the second round of competition with her "Last Pass" dragster in the quickest field ever assembled. As you can see, a good time was had by all!
