Uncle Joe Benson announcing at the 2004 Grand American Sports Car Races at California Speedway.
October 30 - 31, 2004: The Grand-Am Cup Series returned to the California Speedway in Fontana for the third time, and Uncle Joe was on hand to call the action of the season finale. Five championship titles were determined in the Lexus Grand American 250 on Saturday, and four more in the Lexus Grand American Rolex Sports Car Series 400 on Sunday.

A perfectly beautiful weekend for racing and having fun.
A huge autograph session started the weekend off in style.
Saturday begins with "Ladies and Gentlemen...," the command to start engines,
the cars taking off and at speed.
Championships and winners.
Championships and winners.
Oh-oh!
Getting the big boys ready to roll on Sunday.
Unc scares the bejesus out of anyone
brave enough to get in the Lexus Pace Car with him.
Pre-race interviews,
words from Speedway President Bill Miller
and then the National Anthem.
Championships and race winners.
Championships and race winners.
Casting a Nextel spell?
